In honor of National School Lunch Week, Gage Elementary celebrated the Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch (or simply, Crunch), where people will collectively buy and eat locally and regionally grown apples at noon on October 14th each year.
Every week that goes by – if not every day – we learn more about the steps we need to take to keep our schools both safe and open amidst the continuing COVID pandemic. This memo outlines a number of adjustments to our Safe and Open Schools Plan that incorporate lessons we have learned in Rochester and evidence and guidance from experts and schools outside our district.
RPS released COVID-19 vaccination data for students and staff that was obtained by anonymous data through the Minnesota Immunization Information Connection (MIIC).
Last spring, RPS students were invited to submit ideas for what our new middle school, currently under construction, should be named. After much deliberation, we have found our new school's name.
Rochester Public Schools (RPS) is continuing to develop their full strategic plan between September 1, 2021, and April 1, 2022. This full strategic plan will guide the work of the District for three school years, from 2022 through 2025. Today, RPS is launching an application to participate in an action planning group.
